Sean's Happy Place
Well, school is all over for this semester. Save for the final exams and the odd review session. Classes are all over, assignments are all done.

And while I still haven't managed to attend every class (in any of my courses), I HAVE managed to attend every quiz and midterm, and wonder-of-wonders, I HAVE managed to hand in every single assignment this semester! (And on time, at that!)

I don't think I've ever managed that feat since, uh, elementary school?

And every mark I've gotten back has been an ace, with the lone exception of my calculus midterm, but even there, I'm sufficiently far ahead of the (dismal) class average, that if he marks on any kind of a curve at all, that's an A, too.

So with only the finals to go, I think I have a very decent chance at a four-point-oh. And it's been a long time since I've been able to say THAT at this point in the semester.

(well, except for summer 2002, but I only HAD 2 courses then.)

If only I could sleep all over my textbooks...

Is it me or does that cat look like roadkill?

Remind me to talk to you about the (mis)deeds of a certain Dr Saleh when we speak online next.

Yeah, I dunno. Jabber's misbehaving so I can't log onto MSN right now. Just have to sit an' wait 'til it comes back up.

Marginally annoying... but you're the only person I ever really talk to on MSN.

Trust Etisalat to have blocked ICQ off for the UAE (or so I believe from a sample group of 2 people including yours truly, anyway) just when MSN is inaccessible there.

Does Jabber do Yahoo Messenger too?

Why? Because of its SMS capability? 'Twouldn't surprise me 'tall.

It can to Yahoo! sure (or at least, CenterICQ can). But I need a Y! account first. Which there is no way in hell I'm gonna do.

ICQ was founded in Israel, even though it's owned by AOL now, remember.

Fair enough, but why would it take them this long to get around to blocking it?

Knowing Etisalat, the SMS angle sounds FAR more likely. They are insanely obsessive about maintaining their SMS monopoly. Will block any site they suspect will allow people to send SMSes, etc.
